Assault. Prisoner and accomplice were returning from Mostyn, the latter drunk and liable to fall from his horse was helped by the prosecutor, whom he recognized, calling him a 'rogue and villain that voted for Wynne against Sir John Glynne and against your friends and neighbours'. Partisan feelings were running high in 1734 when Sir John Glynne and Sir George Wynne ran a bitter campaign to win votes for county election to Parliament. See also Peter D. G.
