Arson, burning a stack of hay. Accused aged 44. Claimed accused had often threatened to kill prosecutor and burn her property. Fire started by a wooden poker thrown through bedroom window. A neighbour saw footprints and observed tread of left foot defective similar to accused. Accused produced two witnesses who saw him in Abergavenny on the night of the attack. mwy
