Food riot. Boarding a boat of which the prosecutor was the master and seizing and detaining wheat and barley until the prosecutor paid two guineas to relenquish the same. The prisoner and her accomplices were accompanied by colliers, some named, from Ruabon, co. Denb. whose presence had been requested by the inhabitants to prevent the export of corn. On being asked to relenquish their sticks ' several of them declared that it was indifferent to them whether they died by famine or sword' See also no. 11 in 4/1006/3. mwy
