Prisoner also implicated in the theft of a coat at Hopton Castle, co. Salop, but not indicted. Prisoner apprehended at Berriw. Prisoner held in gaol on another indictment, see no. 15 in this file, and had tricked the prosecutor into entering the same, assaulting him and claiming that he was the person 'who fetched a witness to try to take away his life'. mwy

He had also worked on a trading vessel belonging to Barmouth, co. Mer. Prisoner also implicated in the theft of a coat at Hopton Castle, co. Salop, with his wife, Maria Griffiths, although neither are indicted for this offence. Prisoner apprehended at Berriw. mwy
