Murder of David Ephraim, Llanllwchaearn, mariner, prosecutor's husband, by striking him with a soldering iron, of a type 'that tinkers use'. Prisoner, deceased and David Enoch had been drinking in The New Storehouse Inn at New Quay. A dispute arose outside concerning the disappearance of another's budget. Deceased struck whilst on his way to his boat. Judge Beard wrote 'No doubt but the crime as proved was murder'. mwy
