The prisoner promised to 'leave his harp with her [ the prosecutor] till he brought either the money or the goods to her'. The prisoner 'a stranger' had lodged one night at the prosecutor's dwelling house and therefore not from Machynlleth. Indicted twice for the fact, the other, no. 43 in this file, with stealing from John Lloyd, prosecutor's servant. mwy
