Deceased and his wife, who is prisoner's mother-in-law, quarrelled because she was unwilling to go with her husband to see a stage play at Church Stoke because he would only get drunk. He struck her with his staff and prisoner intervened and they fought. Inquest found prisoner guilty of manslaughter. mwy
